Gordon's Jogle

Begin at the beginning, and go on till you come to the end: then stop

- Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

In the summer of 2017, shortly after my 65th birthday, I spent 28 days cycling from John O'Groats to Land's End. Before my epic ride, I had never ridden a bike since my early teens, and when I decided eight months earlier to embark on the journey, I didn't even own one.

Roll on three years, and I, like everyone else, found myself imprisoned by the coronavirus pandemic. What better way to escape the confines of my home than to relive my outdoor adventure? So I used the time I had in lock-down to write a book recalling the days I spent training, planning and completing a bike ride across the length of Great Britain. The website was constructed to compliment information provided in the book.
